Here the Wireless Extender attaches. My house is on the wrong side of a small hill in a wooded area and has no reliable cell phone coverage, and had unreliable coverage in a couple little lucky spots. I have a yagi antenna on the roof aimed toward the cell sites, lightning arrestor, and a 50' cable coming in from the attic going to the basement, and up to the first floor office. I went from nothing to 20-80 percent of the signal bars depending on where I am in the house. The cell phones now have good signal and function properly.
This signal booster does exactly what it's supposed to do. I am very pleased with the results - the initial try out took only a few minutes to find a suitable location for the antenna and the transmitter unit before tidying it up to make the installation acceptable to my wife. As long as you have some detectable line-of-sight signal at some reasonably accessible location within the 50 feet of the supplied coax cable, it will boost your cellphone reception to full signal. You have to pay attention to the instructions, however, and of course make sure that you have the correct frequency for your cellular network. We went from zero bars inside the house to five - even saturation if you get too close to the transmitter unit. This was a very good buy.
My cell phone reception has definitely improved; however, be ready to experiment a lot with placement of antenna and base unit. I almost gave up after crawling around in my attic for two days, but finally was able to get antenna and base unit placed in an area that provided better cell coverage through most of my 2,000 sq ft home.
Go to the manufacturers website before you purchase to pick the right type of product depending on your carrier and the frequency. I had signal problem in a high rise building at 9th floor and did some research in internet if there is any existing solution and came across this product. This product exceeded my expectations. Some of the negative reviews here might be because of selecting the wrong frequency product. I put the antena in the window as its all glass door with no access to outside walls from window. Before this product I had to stick myself to the window to use cell phone or use landline. Now I have the luxury of talking on my cell phone while sitting on the sofa or on the bed. Installation is as easy as counting 1, 2, 3.
We live in the mountains, and I could get two bars on my cell by walking 20 ft up the little hill behind my house. I bought the Wi-Ex500 CEL. We installed the antenna in the attic area, ran the cable down into the house through a closet, then into my office. I use AT&T Wireless service. Had no signal bars on my phone in my house or on my driveway. I now have a full 4 bars on my phone and can send and receive calls right in the house. Success.
